Planning and Consultation Responses

The MCofS is approached by government agencies, local authorities, national parks and developers on relevant consultation exercises. Responses are made by the MCofS following consideration by officers and volunteers with relevant expertise.

Our responses reflect the MCofS Landscape Strategy and the position statements  agreed through consultation with the membership.

The MCofS is not anti-development but believes that developments must be of the right type, in the right place and the right design. The environment of Scotland, although we may sometimes wish it, cannot be fixed forever. 

The planning system is open to everyone and it needs to hear your voice if it matters to you! Time and time again we have been informed by planning officers that weight of numbers making comments can influence the acceptance, conditions attached or refusal of a planning application.
