MCofS Mountain Leader Training Course

This six day, 2 modular course will be held on the following dates:

Friday 7th September - Sunday 9th September (3days) and

Friday 28th September - Sunday 30th September (3 days)

The MCofS in partnership with Richard Bentley from Mountain Motion are offering  club/individual members the opportunity to participate in a Summer Mountain Leader Training Course based from Glassie Farm, Aberfeldy at a special discounted rate. The cost of the course is £250. The training course is run on a 1:6 ratio and there are a maximum of 12 places available.

This price includes accommodation and six days instruction. This SMLTB award is for members who wish to lead hill-walking parties in mountainous terrain in summer conditions.  A two day overnight camping expedition is part of this course.

Who is eligible to apply?

Club/individual members who are currently involved or keen to become involved in leading others for days out in the hills. Individuals must also register with Mountain Leader Training Scotland and complete a log book prior to booking the course.
