Access Problem Reporting Form
The A&C Officer responds to all access cases reported to us. Since the implementation of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, all Scottish local authorities have dedicated Access officers whose remit is to address and resolve access issues in their areas. This is a list of access officers. The best way to report an issue is to e-mail the access authority Access Officer and copy it to the MCofS. We can then follow up if the issue is not resolved with a full case history. Sending the information to us, as far as the access authority is concerned is not a report, and this is vital to ensure it is prioritised.
The MCofS will continue to help in resolving access problems, but the primary report must go to the access authority Access Officer for official recording and to ensure a high priority for resolution. Success in dealing with these is quite often dependent on the quality of the original information reported. For instance, it is difficult to challenge and negotiate effectively if inaccurate or incomplete details hav ebeen supplied, including photographs where possible. We have produced this Access Problems Reporting Form. If you experience a problem that you think is worth reporting, please complete this form and press the submit button at the foot of the page.
