Welcome to the MCofS pages for Active Schools Managers and Coordinators who wish to include climbing in their activities.
The MCofS aims to help Local Authorities and Active Schools Managers and Coordinators increase the access to climbing across Scotland for young people particularly through schools curriculum development and out-of-school-clubs.
We offer information and advice on climbing wall facility design for schools, management of those facilities, maximising the use of them in competition and other events, training and qualifications information for teachers and Coordinators wishing to use the walls with young people as well as general information about our sport and how it is conducted. We also offer advice on opportunities for children to develop their climbing outside school (next steps and player pathways), through contacts and networks and access to events.
