Entries are now being accepted for both the MCofS literary competition and the EMFF photography competition for 2010.

Deadlines are 31^st July for both competitions.

EMFF have kindly donated weekend passes (worth £100) to the Festival for the winners in each literary category.

MCofS Article Competition Categories:

PROSE Category
1st PRIZE £150 + EMFF ticket; 2nd PRIZE £100; 3rd PRIZE £50

POETRY category
1st PRIZE £100 + EMFF Ticket; 2nd PRIZE £50; 3rd Prize £25

Send your entries to the MAC Coordinator, Ania Kociolek in the following formats:

EMFF Photographic Competition Categories:

There are two categories for 2010:
1. Climbing!
2. A Perfect Day

Winners will receive £25, 1yr free MCofS Individual membership and a Scottish Harvey British Mountain Map of their choice.

Conditions of Entry for the MCofS Article Competition:

Prose entries should be a maximum of 2,000 words long. Poetry entries can be as long or as short as you like. All should be preferably typed (or supplied as a word or rtf document on disc or Email), but otherwise clearly written on single-sided paper. Enclose an SAE if you wish the article to be returned.

The MCofS & EMFF reserves the right to publish the prize-winning entries. Past winners have been published either in the MCofS magazine, Annual Report or in magazines or Journals.

The competition is open to anyone resident in the UK, either members of the MCofS or not. Members should quote their club name or individual membership number.
