MCofS Corporate Information
This section of the website contains information relating to the corporate and strategic management of Your MCofS, and information about new strategic initiatives and other developments.
Following extensive consultation with members' elected representatives, volunteers, representatives of other mountaineering organisations and stakeholders, the Executive approved the MCofS Strategic Plan 2008-2012 in March 2008. The June 2008 meeting of the Executive approved the Annual Operating Plan 2008-09. The Operating Plan defines the activities and objectives to be undertaken in the year 2008-09 which contribute to the achievement of the Strategic Plan. It provides the Executive, Board and Officers with the means to monitor and evaluate progress. Download the latest Operating Plan update here. Progress will be reviewed at each meeting of the Executive and updated regularly on this website.
In the Strategic Plan the MCofS makes a commitment to achieving The Equity Standard, stating “MCofS will facilitate an inclusive culture in which all individuals are encouraged, regardless of gender and ethnic background, and at all ages and ability levels”. Our aim is to achieve the Equity Standard at the Foundation Level by year end 2009.
