Find a Climbing Wall in Scotland
The indoor climbing walls listed here are from the MCofS Scottish Walls Database. The walls listed are all open to the public during times when access is most sought – evenings and weekends (others with limited access are not included but details of these can be obtained separately from the MCofS if required).
Most of the main climbing centres will ask you to complete a registration form on entry, declaring you are competent. For beginners, all these centres offer introductory courses and you are strongly recommended to attend one if you are a novice. All the walls listed will allow a competent adult climber to supervise, and take responsibility for ‘guests’ (friends or children – usually no more than 2) who may be novices, but formal groups being instructed must make formal arrangements with the centre management.
Some ‘small walls’ do not offer instruction or beginner courses – phone ahead to check and so not waste a journey.
