The MCofS Gift of Membership makes a great gift for the hill walker, climber or mountaineer in your life. Whether it be Christmas, a Birthday, Valentine’s Day or an Anniversary; a year’s membership of the MCofS is a fitting present for that ‘special person’.
Once your ’special person’ is a member of the MCofS they will soon appreciate the value of their MCofS membership card. The MCofS operates a Members’ Discount Scheme, so by flashing their card on a regular basis they will easily save the cost of the annual subscription by claiming discounts with retailers, accommodation providers and a wide range of other discount scheme members.
As well as Individual Gift Membership of the MCofS you can purchase a Joint Membership for two people living at the same address, or Family Membership for those with one or more children in the household. All MCofS members are covered by our third party Civil Liability Insurance, so Joint and Family Memberships are a great way of providing all household members with this protection.

Gift of Membership Prize Draw
Everyone who purchases the Gift of Membership for a partner, friend or family member, up to and including midday on 16th December 2011, will be entered in a free prize draw with a chance of winning a set of four winter tyres from KwikFit.
Terms and Conditions for the competition:
The prize is one set of 4 winter tyres, to be fitted to your own vehicle at a KwikFit centre, including new valve and balance (plus disposal of summer tyres if required). The offer is subject to availability of winter tyres at the time of fitting and excludes mobile fitting. KwikFit retail terms and conditions apply.
The prize draw will take place on 16th December 2011. The draw will be made by an independent person, picking the winners at random from all valid entries submitted and received in accordance with the terms and conditions. The prize is non-transferable and no part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions. No cash alternative will be offered. The MCofS reserves the right to provide an alternative KwikFit prize of equal or greater value in the event of unforeseen circumstances. In the event of any dispute, the MCofS’s decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into. The MCofS’s record of entries is the definitive record. All reasonable endeavours will be made to contact the winners via email by 6th January 2012. If a winner cannot be contacted in this time, the MCofS reserves the right to redraw a winner. Winners may be asked to participate in post-promotional activity.
Gift of Membership after 16th December 2011
The Gift of Membership offer will continue to be available from the MCofS after 16th December 2011, which is the closing date for the KwikFit Winter Tyres Prize Draw. So, if you wish to buy the Gift of Membership for a birthday, anniversary or Valentine’s gift in 2012, you will still be able to do that via the MCofS website.
