Welcome
This section of the website is all about children taking part in the varied activities that are described as climbing, walking, mountaineering and ski-mountaineering. We fully support the Scottish Government's Active Nation initiative and wish to help children who want to get active outdoors (or indoors!). The pages in the menu on the left give some indication of the scope of the work of the MCofS with children as well as information about the different activites.

Child Protection Information for Parents
Look here for details of the MCofS Child Protection Policy and Events Codes of Practice; Scottish and European legislation relating to child protection; advice when employing instruction or guiding. If your club needs to apply for Disclosure Checks, MCofS is registered with the Central Registered Body in Scotland and can make the application on your behalf. The service is free of charge and confidential.
