Legal Advice - Support for Clubs
sportscotland the national agency for sport, has appointed Harper Macleod LLP to provide legal advice and support to Scottish Governing Bodies of Sport as part of their ‘Expert Resource Framework’ which provides information and advice on legal, financial and human resources issues.
These services are made available to the MCofS by sportscotland on an as-required basis.
MCofS member clubs are also eligible for access to legal advice and the service includes an initial one-hour free consultation period.
Clubs seeking legal advice should contact the MCofS Chief Officer in the first instance with an outline brief concerning their requirements. Subject to agreement with sportscotland to proceed to consultation, clubs will then be able to make direct contact with a representative of Harper Macleod LLP to discuss their requirements.
Harper Macleod will provide legal advice and support across a range of areas, including: Governance and Corporate Law; Contract Law; Property Law; Employment Law; and Intellectual Property Law.
