Climbing Development Framework
Taking Climbing in Scotland Forward
The MCofS has a ‘Development Framework’ for CLIMBING. This framework puts into context the present position of the sport in Scotland regarding UK and world status, current climbing trends including development of new disciplines, current level of development of the sport, the sports accessibility, spread and quality of facility provision, availability of coaching, gaps in provision etc. It is supplemented by a schematic representation of the key elements of the framework as a ‘Player Pathway’.
This document will provide the framework for how the MCofS approaches its work in this area in the future. It will help define the strategic aims of the MCofS.
