Mountain Safety

Review of Met Office Mountain Weather Service

The Mountain Weather Service is a vital output of the Met Office Public Weather Service; this summer the Public Weather Service Customer Group (PWSCG), which acts as a customer on behalf of the public, is carrying out a review of the service. An important part of the review will be consultation with stakeholders and the public. The aim of the consultation is to better understand and prioritise the needs of the people who spend time in the hills and mountains of Scotland. There will be similar consultation in Wales, Northern Ireland and England.
