Scottish Youth Bouldering Championships
Tuesday 10th April 2012
The Scottish National Youth Bouldering Championship 2012 (SYBC)
Saturday 26th May
This years SYBC is being hosted by TCA Glasgow: the biggest bouldering wall in Scotland.
There are several changes this year, with the adoption of the IFSC age categories which means there will be more age groups than before, and the IFSC 2012 scoring system for the finals. Although there will always be an emphasis on fun at the MCofS competitions and anyone can enter, the SYBC will however allow us to identify the Scottish Youth Bouldering Champions for 2012.
And this years event will bring the best young climbers from across the UK (and we hope from Ireland and Europe as well as the competition is also now an Open Competition which is available to any, eligible, climber to attend, even from outside Sctoland) to Scotland's newest indoor climbing venue and one of the best bouldering walls in the UK. It will prove to be one of the highlights of the climbing calendar for 2012!
So, if you are between 8years old and 19years old and have some expereince of climbing and you fancy a great days competition on purpose-set problems, find out more on the SYBC page
Application forms are now available here as well.
See you at TCA on the 26th May!
The SYBC is supported by The Interactive Design Institute (idi) and prizes are donated by TISO
The event will be run by ReAch and the MCofS Area Youth Coordinators
Route-setting will be undertaken by TCA Staff
