
In Scotland today there are a range of competitions that are open to all climbers. All the main climbing wall centres run their own competitions. These are friendly, fun comps catering for adults and/or children with hard or easy categories so that relative beginners can take part. They mainly concentrate on bouldering. Each wall runs their own categories (Men, Women, Vets or Kids). There is an East Meets West competition when Glasgow and EICA Ratho combine in a friendly climb-off. Each year a centre also holds an indoor dry-tooling competition, known as ‘The Mixed Masters’.
