The Council receives investment from the following organisations, in return for which it undertakes a range of activities:

sportscotland investment recognises the position of the MCofS as the representative body for hill walkers, climbers and ski-mountaineers, and the national governing body for sport climbing.

Their investment supports a proportion of our administrative costs, the position of the MCofS Mountain Safety Adviser, the Mountain Weather Information Service and some of the administrative costs of Mountain Leader Training Scotland.

The BMC invests in the work of the Access & Conservation Officer, in recognition of the work undertaken north of the border on behalf of BMC members.

The Scottish Mountaineering Trust - www.smc.org.uk

The SMT invests in the work of the Access & Conservation Officer.
