Upland Path Trust

The 'Upland Path Trust' is the new working name of the British Upland Footpath Trust (BUFT, which is still the name of the charity/trust meantime) and is in the process of creating a new website, which will be at www.uplandpathtrust.org. A summary of the MCofS involvement with BUFT can be found in the Access and Conservation sections of the MCofS Annual Reports.

The Upland Path Trust is a registered charity set up, by British Mountaineering Council, Mountaineering Council of Scotland, Ramblers Association and Outdoor Industries Association, with the key objective to improve the quality of path work and maintenance in the uplands by raising the profile of upland path management and promoting exchange of information. A major concern is to see major path repairs replaced by small scale but continuous path maintenance.
